Our Why
Studio Hurricane was originally built for our family business because we struggled to find quality local studio space that met our photography and videography needs—one where we didn’t have to schlep props and hefty pieces of furniture up endless flights of stairs! Plus, we craved a minimalist space with ample natural light to let our creative juices flow and our wild ideas shine bright!
The result was a studio that not only met our needs but exceeded them in every possible way. We carefully curated each element, ensuring that the space was both functional and inspiring. Every corner was designed to spark imagination, from the eclectic mix of vintage and modern props to the versatile backdrops that could transform with just a touch of creativity.
Fast forward to 2024, after selling the family business, we faced a significant choice: should we rethink the space into something entirely different, or open our doors to other photographers who were experiencing the same challenges we once did? We took a vote, and well, here you are!
As we’ve opened the doors of Studio Hurricane to fellow creatives, it has become a hub of artistic expression and collaboration. Photographers and videographers from near and far have come to appreciate the unique ambiance and the wealth of opportunities it provides. It’s more than just a studio; it’s become a community, where ideas are shared, projects are born, and friendships are forged. We couldn't be more proud of what Studio Hurricane has become—a beacon of creativity nestled in a tranquil little town with a not-so-tranquil name.
